Former The Project presenter Josh Thomson and his wife, Liz Thomson, have welcomed a baby girl.
The comedian took to his Instagram to share the exciting news.
“Me and @lizmcthomson made a girl!” the post read.
“Soana Ann Rose Thomson. Born last week during the storm. 3.71 kg.”
The couple welcome the news of their baby after Thomson opened up about his wife’s three miscarriages in the past.
“In a way it’s not our first its our fourth… I can’t imagine what it’s like to lose something that’s been growing inside of you but I know what it’s like to be the partner of of someone who has and I watched the person I love the most in the world go through something really horrible and I gave her as much comfort and hope as I could but ultimately I felt very useless,” he said.
Thomson released a statement saying his wife and baby are doing well.
“Mum and bubs very happy and healthy. Thanks to all the midwives and staff at Birthcare and Auckland Hospital. They are brilliant, considerate and wonderful.”
Thomson left The Project in order to spend more time with his family.
