Baby names that would be more at home in the 1940s and 1950s are making a comeback, according to a recent article from Babycenter.com.au.
According to their latest list of baby name trends, vintage girls’ and boys’ names are back in fashion – with the likes of Audrey, Ingrid, Greta and Marilyn all being popular choices for 2016 kids.
Likewise Fred, Orson, Sidney and Flynn are trending for baby boys.
Writer Marie Kreft explains that name popularity often follows the ‘100 year rule’ – coming back into fashion as other, more modern names start to become overused.
