Who knew Legolas had such a way with words?

Orlando Bloom has penned a moving tribute to son Flynn, six, on Instagram.

The 40-year-old expressed his gratitude for Flynn’s role in his “kingdom to share and balance love with life career and everything in between.”

“Something I didn’t fully comprehend till my son opened my heart.”

Maybe Bloom should try his hand at script-writing…

Bloom had Flynn with model Miranda Kerr in 2011. Although the pair split in 2013, they’ve been widely praised for their amicable co-parenting.

Talking to Elle Canada last year, Kerr divulged how the pair manage to raise Flynn.

“The most important thing is that when he has his time with me, we have quality time together, and when he’s with his dad, he has quality time with him,” Miranda revealed of raising her son.

“And it works out really well because I book in my photo shoots for the time he’s with his dad, and the rest of the time I just get to be a mum.”

Although the pair are definitely still friends, that doesn’t mean that Orlando copped an invite to Kerr’s wedding to billionaire Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel later this year.

“I haven’t received an invite yet but I would be [going if I did get an invite],” he admitted during a radio interview with Radio X last month.

“[But] it’s all harmonious so I am blessed.”

“I’ll just look at the Snapchat feed,” he joked.

Bloom hasn’t been so lucky in love, recently breaking up with singer Katy Perry. But hey, if alone time means more gorgeous photos of Flynn, who are we to complain?
