New mum comics perfectly illustrate life with a bub

New mum Alison Wong decided that despite the chaos of early parenting, she wanted to end every day on a positive and humorous note.

Most mums will agree that the first year of parenthood is a bit of a blur. There are tears, laughter, countless sleepless nights and even more nappy changes.

New mum Alison Wong decided that despite the chaos of early parenting, she wanted to end every day on a positive and humorous note.

In “New Mom Comics” Wong captures her day to day life with her partner and baby son Elliot, who just turned one.

Wong told the Huffington Post that her first year of motherhood was the “most transformative year” of her life.

“I evolved from a scared novice whose heart skipped at the slightest baby sounds to being an expert on one little human’s routine and mannerisms.

“It was a year of very high highs and some low lows. I felt like I went through the wringer, but I came out feeling like I could face anything, even a toddler,” she said.

Wong also said that creating New Mom Comics helped her get through the most challenging days. She hopes that she will make other parents laugh too:

“I hope they remember, in those worst moments, to look on the bright side, knowing that other parents have been there too.”
