A UK mum of 12 has claimed she’s ‘addicted’ to having babies, after announcing she’s pregnant with her 13th child.

Cheryl Prudham, 34, has spoken to Britain’s This Morning programme about her larger than average family, that she receives the equivalent of around $80,000 a year for.

Defending herself against critics who say she shouldn’t get so much money from the state, Cheryl says: “I think about my kids and my family and that’s it.

“It’s not just going into my pocket though, let’s be honest.”

Cheryl was asked by host holly Willoughby: “How can you sleep at night?”

The mum spent part of her first pregnancy in a homeless hostel in Kent, when she was just 17-years-old.

Now she lives with her 12 children in Lancashire, and is expecting a 13th.

The extra child could get her another $1300 a year in benefits.

Last year, she told Closer magazine that she wanted another baby but not another boyfriend, after being hurt by her ex.

“I was hurt by Robert and find it difficult to trust again. Besides, how would I find a guy willing to take on all my children?

“But I’m feeling broody again as my youngest is nearly a year old and I miss having a newborn in my arms. I would love a boy next.”

The mum added she was planning to sign up to a sperm donor service, in the hope she could have a kid without having a relationship.
