A young mum who became pregnant with her second set of twins – despite being on birth control – has given birth to two healthy babies this week.

Zoe Fuimaono, who spoke to WomensWeekly.co.nz in 2016 about her growing family, shared the happy news that she and her husband had welcomed a baby boy and girl in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The 27-year-old said that they welcomed Harlow Rose and Noah Luke at 3.32 and 4.03am respectively.

And her little bubbas weighed in at just over 2.3kg each, with baby sister weighing slightly less than her bro.

“We couldn’t have asked for a more amazing birth experience both were born naturally and with no pain relief. Our family is finally complete,” Zoe wrote on the family’s Instagram account.

The six strong family updated us on Wednesday morning, telling us they’re all “doing amazing,” with Zoe saying: “I spent most of my labour in the water which was great…No complications everything went perfectly pretty much. We are so in love with our new babies.

“I’m doing well, still can’t believe they are here and that we have another two children in our lives.”

Zoe added that on Wednesday her two-year-old twins Henry and Theo will meet their baby brother and sister, and they’ll get their first photo as a six.

The West Auckland family told us last year that they were shocked to discover they were expecting another pair of twins, despite Zoe being on birth control at the time.

“We couldn’t believe it. Junior couldn’t stop laughing after the scan and kept saying ‘what are the chances?’ He was pretty stoked with himself,” Zoe told us.

And despite many friends of the family telling them “rather you than us,” partners Zoe and Junior say they feel nothing but blessed.
