This week’s issue of Woman’s Day is all about teens!

With Guest Editor Kate Hawkesby at the helm, we take a closer look at all the tricky topics parents are facing today as they raise their teenagers. With everything from teen-friendly recipes to tips on how to navigate the online world, this week’s issue is chock-a-block with everything you need to know about parenting teens today.

As Kate revealed in a chat with Woman’s Day Editor-in-Chief Sido Kitchin, raising young teens now is a very different affair compared to how it was before the arrival of the internet.

“Our kids have this whole global reach and they’re in touch with the whole universe, and they know everything, and they get so much information and they’re constantly sharing so much [on social media],” she says, adding that fears around online safety are paramount for today’s parents.

“So we’ve put some facts and figures and stats behind it as well as just some really practical advice around how to actually talk to your teens.”

Kate’s husband Mike Hosking also makes an appearance in the magazine this week, facing off against his wife in a ‘he said, she said’ column comparing their different parenting styles.

“I talk about the way I parent teens, and he talks about the way he parents teens, which is quite different,” she reveals.
