And for one American mum, she learnt this lesson the hard way after her partner began texting her as she worked a shift in hospital.
Starting a conversation with his working wife, Bobby Wesson enquired how her night was, before slowly building to disaster.
Asking if it was possible to reschedule their family photos they had planned, Bobby sets the scene for the bad news he’s about to break.
…The toddler son has accidentally shaved a line into his hair.
After mum exclaims “answer the phone,” and repeatedly tells her partner to “fix it,” Bobby still doesn’t relent.
He even shares a picture of their son’s hair, next to some clippers.
After mum bemoans that her “sweet baby looks like a potato,” dad informs her that the son has now seen himself in a mirror, and won’t stop crying.
So for a quick fix, dad decides the best thing is to shave his son’s head, and his own.
“IT LOOKS LIKE YOU CUT MY BABY’S HAIR WITH A WEEDEATER” the mum writes, before saying she’s going to cut her husband’s head off.
It’s only then, at the threat of murder, that Bobby admits the truth behind the images.
“It’s photoshop baby no ones head is shaved everything is fine.”
