Kiwi supermarkets offer pre-chopped vege bulk bins

We're used to buying nuts, seeds and lollies in bulk but are pre-chopped vegetables one step too far for 'convenience'?

Pick n’ mix lollies and snack bulk bins are standard but now some supermarkets around the country are offering a pre-chopped vegetable section like this one.

New World have confirmed to Women’s Weekly that both the Hamilton New World Te Rapa and New World Brookfield stores offer this.

You have to admit it’s a good idea for busy families, older and disabled people who struggle to chop veges and those of us who often have leftovers that go to waste.

But the move is not without debate: Is this the future of convenient cooking or have we simply become lazier?
