JonBenet Ramsey’s brother set to break his silence

The slain beauty queen's older brother is set to give his first interview.

The discovery of six-year-old JonBenet Ramsey in the basement of her Colorado home on Boxing Day, 1996 sparked what has remained one of America’s most notorious unsolved murders.

And now, almost 20 years after the young pageant star’s death, her 29-year-old brother Burke Ramsey is breaking his silence in his first ever interview.

Burke has filmed a three-part special with Dr Phil, where he will “reveal what he knows about his sister’s mysterious murder” and the impact it had on his family.

JonBenet was found by her father John, beaten and strangled with a cord around her neck. It was later confirmed that she was sexually assaulted.

The young girl’s parents, Patsy and John, were suspects in the eye of the public, as was Burke.

Patsy, who died from ovarian cancer in 2006, and John were finally cleared of any involvement from JonBenet’s death in 2008.

In April, a report from In Touch claimed JonBenet was killed by the hands of 26-year-old Michael Helgoth, whose family ran a junkyard near JonBenet’s hometown in Boulder, Colorado.

Helgoth took his own life in 1997.

Burke’s tell all is set to air in the States from Monday, September 12.
