It was love at first sight for Tom Hayden. Meeting Ingrid Dixon through close friends, who were engaged themselves, the sparks flew on their first introduction. The proposal was a truly romantic moment, which still makes Ingrid smile – walking into their apartment, she saw candles everywhere, placed to spell out the couple’s initials. Tom stood in front of her in a suit and tie, holding a single red rose and proposed. Through her tears, she said “yes” and they tied the knot in Hawke’s Bay.
