REUNION The Anglican Parish of Akaroa Banks Peninsula

We are planning to hold a 150th celebration of the founding of the Parish on 25th September 2009. We wish to contact any family member of the original Vicar of the parish, the Rev. Henry Torlesse. He was the first vicar of the okains Bay Church and his Uncle was the First Superintendent of Christchurch, Edward Gibbon Wakefield. They travelled to New Zealand on the same ship the “oinerva” arriving in New Zealand in 1853. If you have any information, please contact Allison Craw on email at [email protected]
