The man – who was believed to have been arrested in Northamptonshire – was arrested on suspicion of a Computer Misuse Act offense and is now in the custody of police, according to CNN.

The arrest comes after reports that some 3,000 images were stolen from Pippa Middleton’s iCloud account, including photos of her sister Kate and her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Both The Sun and The Daily Mail reported that they had been offered the images by an anonymous seller using the name ‘Crafty Cockney’, who was demanding a “minimum of £50,000” for the photographs.

According to reports, the user also claimed to have further images showing Pippa – who recently became engaged to fiancé James Matthews – at a wedding dress fitting, as well as some nude photos of James.

Kensington Palace has yet to make an official comment on the story, but this isn’t the first time a star has been targeted by hackers exploiting the iCloud system.

In 2014, a hacker targeted multiple female celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence, Kirsten Dunst, Kate Upton and more by releasing their stolen nude photos onto the internet. The case was eventually investigated by the FBI.
