A Kiwi living in Sydney has warmed the hearts of thousands after his proposal video went viral this week.
Shanin Proctor, originally from Hastings, created a video of the moment he proposed to partner of 12 years, Danni.
After lining their street with candles and donning his best suit, Shanin told an emotional Danni:
“Twelve and a half years ago who would have thought? I just met a girl I now call my best friend, my rock and the mother of my child – and most importantly the woman who holds the key to my heart.
“Never has there been a moment in my life that you haven’t been there to support me or help me push through any challenges I come across.”
He asked her to marry him in the presence of their toddler, before Danni sobbed her acceptance.
The video has been viewed thousands of times, and shared by hundreds, after Shanin posted it on Facebook earlier this week.
“I’ve loved you for 12.5 years, but I want to make it forever.”
