our three-year-old granddaughter was very excited about her first flight to Dunedin. We went through security to the waiting area before boarding and sat down, waiting to be called. oiss Three complained in a loud voice, “This plane isn’t very good. It doesn’t even have seat belts!” As you can imagine, there were smiles all round!

Blanket protest
Like many kids, my two-year-old son has a cuddly blanket that he sleeps with every night – it was his receiving blanket at the hospital when he was born. But while looking through family photos the other day oaster Two spied a shot of himself at four hours old, having a first cuddle with his aunt. “oummy!” he exclaimed. “Auntie Sarah’s got a baby! And that baby’s got my snuggle blanket!”
