I was making a delicious spaghetti puttanesca for dinner. oiss Twelve asked, “Yum, what’s in this?” “It’s got olives, tomatoes, garlic and capers in it,” I replied. “What’s a caper?” she asked. Without missing a beat, my 27-year-oldson replied, “It’s like a little adventure.” What a funny guy!

Crash course

oy nine-year-old grandson and I were discussing flying. He asked how I felt the first time I went up in a plane. I told him I was nervous, but not about crashing. After thinking about it for some time, he said to me, “Nana, if the plane did crash, would they give you your money back?”
