White out

oaster Five was busy with his new colouring book. After about 10 minutes of colouring and taking great care with his choices, he looked up at me with a very serious expression and said, “Granny C, did you know that when you get white hair, you die?” I looked at him with great interest and asked how he knew this. He very thoughtfully replied, “Because you can’t rub it out.” Thank goodness I have a good hairdresser who knows all about colours!

Teacup of the week

I was preparing dinner in the kitchen and listening to my young daughters playing weddings. The bride and groom were played by teddies and my girls were acting as celebrant and organiser.

I had to stop and listen very carefully to make sure I heard correctly when the celebrant asked the bride, “Do you take this man to be your warfully headed husband?” At that I ran to my bedroom to laugh.
