Little Wilson has found a new love for life thanks to his incredible set of wheels!
When RSPCA Inspectors received a cruelty complaint, they visited Wilson’s home in Sydney where they found the gorgeous poodle dragging himself around.
“He was really in a horrendous state,” treating vet Dr Laura Taylor told The Weekly Online.
They found that not only was seven-year-old Wilson unable to move his back legs, he was also suffering urine scalding, his fur was extremely matted and he had been kept in a box for several months.
“He also couldn’t move his front arms because the knots were so bad they were restricting his movement. It was heartbreaking to see.”

Wilson was immediately seized by the RSPCA and taken in for veterinary treatment.
After going under a general anaesthetic to get a full body clip and x-rays, Wilson then spent the next six weeks at the clinic attending rehab sessions to rebuild his muscle mass.
It was during that time that Dr Taylor began thinking about his future and getting him a set of doggie wheels.
The “doggie wheels” are essentially a harness with wheels that get strapped on and apparently, Wilson took to them like a fish to water!

“The first afternoon we put them on him, we were all brought to tears,” Dr Taylor says.
“He just ran and ran and ran. It was amazing.”
“It was such a special moment because this little creature who had been through so much could walk again.”
“He’s had the fighting spirit from the get go and I know he’s not going to stop here.”
As Wilson’s now classed as a high-needs dog, he’ll need to go to a specialised rescue group home that focuses on high needs and disabled dogs but fortunately, he won’t be going back to live with his former owner.
