Bronagh Key on money, fame and raising teens

It wasn’t difficult to choose a cover star for our first new-look New Zealand Woman’s Weekly – Bronagh Key is a woman of mystery to most of us. Throughout the past three years she has kept herself as private as a Po’s wife could be, posing for the odd photograph, dressing up for the royal wedding, but maintaining that home is where her heart really is.

We’re lucky in New Zealand that, despite your husband having the biggest job in the land, privacy is still an attainable luxury. So it was a treat to read Paul Little’s interview with Bronagh and John – far from being a retiring type, Bronagh is just determined that John’s job isn’t hers. She seems so calm and warm and level-headed – common attributes of Kiwi women I reckon – that she was the perfect way to kick off the next stage of this magazine’s 80-year evolution.
