My five-year-old grandson recently attended the funeral service of his great-granny in Dunedin. His mother is very good at explaining the ins and outs of death and cremation. The following week he attended another service at Arrowtown, where her ashes were buried. On Anzac day the family attended the Anzac service in Milton. My grandson’s mother had flowers for him and his dad to put on the cenotaph, as great-granny had been in service during war. Grandson asked, ”Has she moved again?”
