32-year-old cancer patient’s hip-hop dance video goes viral

That’s what Ana-Alecia Ayala asks on her social media pages above a video of her busting some moves around her chemo station in hospital, in Texas.

The 32-year-old cancer sufferer, mum of a three-year-old daughter, reveals her plans to hip hop her way to better health.

“We want to show the world that dancing and laughter is the BEST medicine.”

Ana-Alecia posted this on Wednesday (US Texas time) on Instagram and Facebook and it’s already garnered almost 5 million views, 80,000 shares, 68,000 responses and 3800 comments.

Ana-Alecia was diagnosed with a rare form of uterine cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma in December 2015. According to her GoFundMe page, the tumour in her uterus is gone but she is now undergoing aggressive chemotherapy for a new tumour that was discovered in her spleen in July.
