The leading ladies endorsing Hillary Clinton

Meet some of the powerful females backing the presidential hopeful following her official nomination at the Democratic National Convention.

The Democratic National Convention is underway this week in Philadelphia, and many Hollywood A-listers are flocking to the event to show their support for presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.

Others have taken to social media to show their support for Clinton after Bernie Sanders endorsed her to be the next Democratic candidate nominee.

While some celebrities prefer to keep their political preferences a secret (for fear of ostracising any part of their fan-base), increasingly more are throwing caution to the wind and coming out in full force to endorse the candidates of their choice.

That has been particularly true this election, as many female celebrities are throwing their support behind Clinton, no doubt hoping she can make history as the nation’s first female president.
