Despite the evolution of weather apps, there’s still something friendly and familiar about getting the weather forecast from One News’ Karen Olsen, but sadly she said “thank you very much, goodnight and goodbye” on Monday night after 22 years at TVNZ.
In an emotional farewell last night, her long-time colleague, friend and fellow presenter Simon Dallow described Olsen as gracious, humble, warm and “the absolute weather professional”.
