A 6-year-old girl from Australia is dividing opinion online, after her beauty tutorial videos were posted to Instagram.
Bella Rose, from Adelaide, is having her beauty tutorial vids shared by her friend and blogger, Emily Govan.
According to Emily, Bella was always “absolutely fascinated” by her make up when she was around it, and constantly watched Emily’s beauty tutorials.
And when Emily decided to surprise Bella with a day of filming and make up for her birthday, it turned out the little girl was a ‘natural’ at creating her own beauty looks.
Perhaps understandably, there’s been a backlash online, with many saying she’s just too young to be exposed to this world.
Is Bella too young to be exposed to this world?
“Why teach our daughters at such a young age about make up, are you wanting them to think that they need to do this to be pretty?” asked one woman.
Another added: “This little lady needs to be taught that at this age she’s beautiful and lovely without make up.”
But others leapt to Bella’s defence, saying the “practice should be respected” and that playing with make up is completely fine for a little girl.
“You guys over here bashing her are just ridiculous. Why is playing with makeup so terrible? If she wants to play with makeup and have fun what’s wrong with that? Let her creativity flow! Who knows, maybe she will end up doing special FX makeup one day or makeup for the celebs.”
