Research shows women would rather an average looking partner than a ‘perfect ten’

Women were worried a man who rates 10/10 would get too much attention.

Turns out us women aren’t too picky when it comes to men!

A recent YouGov British poll shows that women aren’t concerned whether their partners are a “perfect ten” or not.

According to The Telegraph, just 7 percent of women said their ideal partner would be a 10 out of ten, while 26 per cent said they would rather a man who scores a 5 on the attractiveness scale. This was the most popular choice.

Further results found by the polling company revealed that 22 percent of men said their ideal partner would be an 8 out of 10, and 15 percent said they would prefer a partner who was a 10 out of 10.

Lucy Beresford, a sex and relationships expert for LBC radio said: “For women, physical attractiveness is not the only deal, there’s also a slight anxiety that if your male partner is unbelievably good looking, you’d have to deal with loads of other woman coming on to him.”

Across both genders, the ratings of 5, 7 and 8 were most popular and just over half of the people surveyed believed they were “punching above their weight” with their current partner.

Those who considered themselves to be very attractive rated themselves a 9 out of ten, and admitted to considering themselves better looking than their current partner.
