This week marks Now To Love’s first birthday! As we look back on the stories, videos and Facebook posts you loved most over the past year, here’s what we learned about you.

You love local celebs

Whether it’s Toni Street’s surrogacy news or finding out about Gemma McCaw’s toughest decision, you are intrigued by what our local celebs are doing. Along with Toni and Gemma, stories about Jenny-May Clarkson, Jacinda Ardern and Hayley Holt were among the many local stories that captured your interest over the past year.

You REALLY like Married at First Sight, especially the Aussie version

Kiwi lovebirds Brett and Angel melted your hearts last year, but it was this season of Married At First Sight Australia that really got you going. In fact, eight of the top 10 most read stories for March on Now To Love were about MAFS. Whether it was the shock partner swaps or the reunion bombshells that didn’t air, this season got everyone talking.

You’re fascinated by the Royal Family

It’s a big year for the royals with the upcoming birth of Prince William and Duchess Kate’s third child any week now and of course, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding. Who could forget that it’s only a few months since the pair stepped out at their first public event as a couple.

You care deeply about other women

Kiwi women look out for each other. We see that when you tag each other on our Facebook pages alerting your besties to stories that you think will help them. You’re not shy in nominating your friends for Wedding of The Week or putting inspirational women forward for Woman of The Year.

You’re partial to seeing the odd gross thing

This video of a giant piece of earwax being removed is DISGUSTING. But it didn’t bother the thousands of you who watched it! In fact, on average you spent more than 15 minutes watching it.

Family is everything

While you love a bit of gossip and a laugh, family really does come first. Whether it’s getting inspiration for beautiful Maori baby names, advice for getting your baby to sleep for longer than 45 minutes or lunchbox ideas, you think about family every day.

You’re very funny

An artistic impression of us laughing in the office. We don’t have any beanbags. Boss, can we get some beanbags?

There’s not a day that goes by in the Now To Love office that we don’t get a hilarious email, Facebook or Instagram comment from one of you that makes us laugh out loud. It makes our day.
