Former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden’s son is in a relationship with his brother’s widow

Joe Biden and his wife have given their full support to their youngest son's relationship after their eldest son Beau Biden tragically died from brain cancer.

Hallie Biden, widow of former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden’s son Beau, is now in a relationship with her brother-in-law, Hunter.

Beau Biden passed away in 2015 aged 46 after a battle with brain cancer and is survived by Hallie, his daughter Natalie, 12, and, confusingly, his son, also Hunter, 10.

Hunter Biden and ex-wife Kathleen share three children: Finnegan, Maisy and Naomi.

Beau’s untimely passing was unsurprisingly an incredibly devastating time for the Biden family.

Joe Biden cited the death of his elder son as one of the reasons he decided in October 2015 against running for president. It was also around this time his younger brother Hunter and his wife Kathleen separated.

Obama touchingly gave the eulogy at Beau’s funeral and had previously offered to pay his medical expenses.

Page Six reports the former Vice President of America has confirmed the relationship and said he and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, have given their blessing to the couple.

In an exclusive statement, he said: “We are all lucky that Hunter and Hallie found each other as they were putting their lives together again after such sadness. They have mine and Jill’s full and complete support and we are happy for them.”

Hunter Biden added: “Hallie and I are incredibly lucky to have found the love and support we have for each other in such a difficult time, and that’s been obvious to the people who love us most. We’ve been so lucky to have family and friends who have supported us every step of the way.”
