Wedding of the week: Chantelle and Richie Woodward

This couple had the perfect weather for their mid-winter wonderland wedding!

Chantelle and Richie Woodward were married at Saint Kent’s Chapel in Pakuranga, Auckland on July 1st, 2016.

After being introduced by Chantelle’s friend three and a half years ago a sneaky Facebook message followed which led to dinner – and the couple, who now has two children together, has been inseparable ever since.

Three years ago Richie got down on one knee and proposed to Chantelle in front of their friends and family at Caesars Palace in La Vegas. The couple were there on a family trip to witness the renewal of Richie’s parents wedding vows with ‘Elvis’.

Witnessing the renewal of Richie’s parents vows made Richie and Chantelle realise that they wanted to be together always.

They tied the knot in a ‘winter wonderland’ wedding with 104 of their nearest and dearest in attendance, including their son Otto, who was 10-months-old at the time. They’ve since had a second son, Ted William.

Chantelle made her way down the aisle in a Leanne Day wedding gown to her best friend Katie singing Sam Smith’s How will I know.

Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests continued the celebrations at the ASB Showgrounds, with a mid-winter Christmas-themed reception.

The candlelit setting and a mid-winter Christmas menu made the entire day super romantic and a dream come true for Chantelle.

It was a special day that the couple say they’d re-live over and over if they had the chance.

The couple have now sold their first home in Howick, which was purchased after dating for four months, in the hope of moving to Dubai for a lifestyle change with their two children Otto (2 years) and Ted-William (3 months).
