The dark side of the ‘wreck the dress’ trend

Over the last few years, it’s become increasingly popular for brides to trash their wedding dresses after the ceremony, in the aim of getting that ‘spontaneous, carefree’ wedding shot of their dreams.

And while covering themselves in mud, paint or getting soaked is fine in theory, one bride has learned the drawbacks of this trend the hard way.

In a video from Facebook page UpZ, an unnamed bride can be seen leaping from a boat after her wedding ceremony, hand in hand with her husband.

But before you know it, the bride has disappeared under the water, become entangled in her dress, and seems unable to get back up to the surface.

So for any brides considering jumping of the wharf mid ceremony, you might want to give this a watch.
