Shortland Street star Pua Magasiva marries Lizz Sadler

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Eighteen months after meeting on Instagram, Shortland Street favourite Pua Magasiva and primary school teacher Lizz Sadler have tied the knot in an emotional ceremony full of tears and laughter.

Woman’s Day has all the gorgeous pictures and intimate details from the star-studded big day, which was attended local celebs including Frankie Adams, Dave Fane, Ben Mitchell and the groom’s brother Robbie.

“It’s just been so perfect,” actor and Flava radio host Pua, 37, tells the magazine. “People might say this has happened too fast, but when love hits you with this intensity, you don’t want to spend a second apart.”

“I’m so happy it’s official now,” adds his radiant bride Lizz, 31. “It feels good to be Mrs Magasiva.”

The actor’s daughter Jasmine, seven, and Lizz’s girl Laylah, six, both from previous marriages, acted as flower girls at the wedding.

Pua – who has played nurse Vinnie Kruse on Shortland Street since 2003 – first laid eyes on Lizz in October 2016, when she innocently followed him on Instagram. Despite having nearly 90,000 admirers on the app, the actor instantly took notice of the beautiful blonde and they began swapping messages.

Just 10 months later, Pua surprised his love by popping the question on a snow-capped peak above Queenstown during a scenic helicopter flight. It’s been a whirlwind romance, but the star insists, “When I proposed, I knew it was the right thing to do.”
