Halloween-themed wedding ideas

Get into the spirit.

If you love Halloween and are getting married, why not throw a Halloween-themed wedding? Here are some ideas for next year (because obviously you can’t pull off a good wedding with less than a month to plan it…)

Forget strawberries – slip blackberries into the champagne for a touch of chic spooky.

Who doesn’t love a bewitching bridesmaid? We love this idea from Pinterest of swapping the bouquets for broomsticks.

You don’t have to look far to find gothic/spooky/murderous-looking wedding cake toppers online. We found some pretty cute skeleton ones on Ebay.

Create your own gothic-inspired candle jars. Cut out a heart shape from masking tape, stick the heart onto a jar and then paint around it. Easy.

Nothing says romance like softly lit rooms and dancing candlelight. The effect of these hanging candles is stunning and this idea could easily be adapted for a regular wedding too.

No Halloween celebration is complete without carved pumpkins, but instead of carving out faces, why not go with the couple’s surname?

Throw in a few sparklers and a ghoulish-looking tree decorated in lights and you have a pretty stunning wedding photo to remember your Halloween-inspired big day by.

This is a cute idea for wedding favours – snag your own husband (or wife) with a love potion (which could really be mineral water or sherry or whisky).

Orange is the new black (or white in the case of a wedding) – the perfect colour theme for a Halloween wedding.

Didn’t like the ghoulish wedding cake toppers? Here’s a more chic version of a Halloween-inspired wedding cake.

And another more chic version of the bewitching bridesmaids.

For a truly gothic look opt for a wedding gown made from heavy lace. And you must wear a veil to add that extra air of mystique.

And last but not least – this is a really cute idea for a photo booth.

Happy Halloween everybody!
