The photo of an elderly couple holding hands hours before the wife passed away is going viral this week, after their granddaughter posted it to Reddit.
Reddit user RealLiveGirl shared the touching image of her grandma, 96, and grandpa, 100, just hours before her grandma died. The couple had been married for 77 years.
Other users of the photo sharing site were quick to comment on the heartbreaking image, with one writing: “I know they are grandparents. But this picture is seriously the saddest and cutest thing I’ve ever seen.”
Another added: “This hit deep for me. My grandparents raised me and continue to allow me to live with them. They’re both 74, 5 hours apart in birth, and have been together since 16.”
