While it’s often women who get the raw end of the gender stereotype deal, it’s pretty tough being a man sometimes, too.
With so many macho ideals to live up to, it can be hard for men to embrace more ‘feminine’ pursuits, which apparently range from taking baths to carrying a bag.
In a recent post from Reddit, men were asked what they “would do if it wasn’t so ‘feminine’ or socially ‘unacceptable?’”
Their answers were brilliant. From drinking cocktails to knitting “so hard, bro” – here were our favourite responses on the thread.
Make a quilt
“Honestly, I think I’d get into quilting. I live in Pennsylvania and there’s some damn impressive quilting happening here. And, to top it off, I think it’s awesome that you can make something like a quilt and give it to someone, who’ll literally wrap themselves in the gift you’ve made them. F— it. I’m making a quilt, you guys.”
Use face masks
“One night, my girlfriend decided to use one of those face mask things. So, I decided why the hell can’t I make my skin all nice and soft? Now I’m addicted and do them at least twice a week.”
Knit
