His marriage to Christchurch ambulance driver Aaron Chisholm was on life support right from the start, but controversial Married at First Sight NZ star Ben Blackwell, a member of the Pretty Committee, has now found new love with a hunky bloke named Jay.
Although they’re keen to keep their relationship under wraps for a couple more months, Ben, 26, posted a cute snap of the pair on Instagram on Valentine’s Day and later told Woman’s Day, “We’re really happy at the moment,” adding that they’re “enjoying this time together”.
The hilarious tags on the photo of his new squeeze reflect Ben’s decision to keep his budding relationship private.
Things didn’t work out between Ben and his on-screen husband Aaron and they started divorce proceedings soon after the show wrapped.
In fact, the only couple to still be together at the end of the show is Brett and Angel Renall, who have just cemented their union by buying a puppy together.
The current season of Married at First Sight Australia has been sending fans into a frenzy, and Mediaworks announced last month that a second season of MAFS NZ would be returning to our screens in 2018.
