Kim Dotcom and Elizabeth Donnelly set date for their wedding

The wedding is set to be a small, private ceremony.

Internet entrepreneur Kim Dotcom and his 22-year-old fiancée Elizabeth Donnelly are set to be married on an interesting date.

Dotcom, 43, has told the Herald that he and Elizabeth will get married on January 20, the anniversary of the raid during which he was arrested.

The raid took place in 2012 by the FBI who were apart of a worldwide operation to shut down his file sharing business Megaupload.

Megaupload, at this time, was taking 4 percent of the world’s internet traffic.

The German billionaire and entrepreneur, 43, has marked every anniversary of the raid with an important event.

Elizabeth, 22, is from Auckland and has been seeing Dotcom since early last year.

The pair moved to Queenstown in August to live together and Elizabeth is reportedly planning on finishing her university degree at Otago.

She recently changed her Instagram profile name to Liz Dotcom ahead of the nuptials.

Kim’s relationship with Elizabeth was his first since his wife of five years, Mona, left him in May 2014. They have five children together.

In an earlier interview with The Herald, Kim expressed that he and Elizabeth’s relationship was serious.

“I’m in love. We’re in love. This is not some fling – this is serious,” he said.

“I thought I would never love again. My heart turned ice cold after my separation from Mona. To love and be loved is what happiness is all about.”
