Dear Wendyl,
My husband and I signed up at a local gym two months ago as we both decided it would be fun to get fit together and have a shared interest. It started off well and we both really enjoyed our time there. But then I had to miss a few weeks because I was away overseas due to a death in the family.
When I returned I found he had made all these new friends who happen to be young women. Now when we go he seems to spend all his time flirting with them and hanging around them while they’re exercising and I’m left on the treadmill looking on. What should I do?

Dear Gym Bunny,
Next time you go the gym with your husband do me a favour and watch the reactions of the young women he’s attempting to be friendly with. Do you think they’re really enjoying the attention he’s showering on them or would they rather he left them alone? I think you’ll find he’s just making a nuisance of himself. You would be doing him a huge favour if you sat him down and reminded him of the reasons you both signed up at the gym to spend some quality time together.
If he doesn’t get the message, then leave him to it and join your own gym where you can exercise in peace without having to watch him act out his pathetic fantasies.
