There are many ways to change your beauty routine to make it better for you and the environment:

  • Use a natural deodorant, not an antiperspirant. Antiperspirants clog your pores to stop sweat, but sweating is how your body clears toxins and regulates temperature.

  • Avoid toothpastes with parabens, flavourings, sweeteners or whiteners. Baking soda and water with peppermint essential oil works well.

  • Don’t use disposable razors or make-up wipes. Try razors with interchangeable blades and face cloths instead.

  • Go fragrance free. Many fragrances contain phthalates which can cause health problems.
