If you’re constantly berating yourself/your kids/your partner for not making the bed in the morning, you might want to read this.
Because as things turn out, the tradition of re-making your bed once your get up, could actually be bad for our health.
According to scientists, pulling the sheets, duvet or blanket back together creates the perfect environment for dust mites.
Experts at Kensington University said that dust mites love the warm, cosy environments of a freshly made bed.
So how can we make our bed as dust mite free as possible?
The answer is airing your sheets out for as long as possible before remaking it. Pull the top sheet and duvet down over the end of the bed, away from the bottom sheet, and leave it to air for a few hours.
By the time you get back from work or running errands, you can make it once again.
