Ready to plant colour

Why not brighten up your garden?

Spring is here, but it will be a while before you plant out your vege seedlings, so why not brighten up the rest of your garden with some easy, ready-to-plant colour?

Garden centres are groaning with pots of pansies, petunias, impatiens and marigolds, which look wonderful clustered together. But don’t just stick them in the ground and leave them to fend for themselves when there can still be some cold nights.

Make sure the soil is well fertilised and add a layer of mulch around the roots to protect the plants from any sudden drops in temperature.
