Make a crochet rug out of old T-shirts
Mar 06, 2015 9:00amStep 1: Cut each T-shirt into one long strip of fabric by cutting into the bottom hem of the shirt at a slight angle, then continuing to cut around the tee in one continuous circle.
Step 2: Tie a loop at one end of your strip of fabric.
Step 3: Using a crochet needle, pull the fabric through to form another loop. Repeat until you reach the end of the strip.
Step 4: Tie the next strip of fabric to the end of this and continue crocheting.
Step 5: Coil the crocheted strip into a spiral to form the circular rug shape. Then use a needle and cotton to stitch the coils together.
Make the crochet rug as big or small as you like. Try mixing different T-shirt colours and patterns for a unique look.
