But there is a solution!

Why not make this simple coat hook board for an easy storage solution that is practical and looks great.

To make the board, you will need:

  • A piece of distressed wood (salvaged old doors or windows make great sources of wood for this look)

  • Sandpaper

  • Drill

  • Coat hooks with screws

Instructions:

1.Smooth the surface of the wood a little using sandpaper, but not too much as you want to keep it looking distressed. Give it a clean, if needed.

2.Decide where you want the hooks and place them on the wood so you can mark the drill holes.

3.Drill the holes for the hooks into the wood, then screw the hooks in place.

Now it’s ready to hang. Old or painted hooks will work best for this look, or you could even use old doorknobs.
