Homemade Play-Doh

Kids love it and its really economical to make.

No-one really knows what is in this iconic toy, and lots of kids like to put it in their mouths, so why not make your own? I’ve used this for years. Kids love it and it’s really economical to make.

  • 1 cup flour

  • ½ cup salt

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 tsp cream of tartar

  • 5 to 10 drops of natural food colouring, depending on the intensity you want.

Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan and heat until it forms a dough. Leave to cool, but you can let the little ones get into it when it is still warm. Keep in the fridge.
