Last week we spent ages going through images of Claire Foy at events to put together a gallery of her red carpet moments that showed just how beautiful her outfits are. Claire Foy is a very stylish woman who always looks amazing.

But the English actress is, of course, so much more than just a snappy dresser. In fact, a huge congratulations are in order because Foy has received an Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a drama series for her work as Queen Elizabeth II on Netflix’s The Crown.

It was her first Emmy win but her second Emmy nomination.

In her acceptance speech she paid tribute to other women in the industry and dedicated her award to the next cast.

“This wasn’t supposed to happen! I just felt so proud then of being in the company of so many great women,” she said. “Everyone is talking about women in the industry and if that’s anything to go by — bloody hell. And that’s technically not swearing!”

“I was given a role I never thought I would ever get the chance to play,” Foy continued. “The show goes on, which makes me so, so proud. I dedicate this to the next cast, the next generation.”

Claire has previously won a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards for playing the Queen. It’s obviously a role she feels comfortable in!
