The key to smaller hips

What clothes can I wear to make my hips look smaller? When I buy trousers I get size eight but can’t in skirts as I can’t get them over my hips and bottom so most of the time I have to get a size 12. I’ve got broad shoulders, a slim waist and big hips. Also, what kind of boots would suit someone with big hips? Pointed? Round toe? Squared?

With your broad shoulders I advise you to stay away from racer backs, narrow-strapped tank tops and halter necks. Go for the more oversized look and raglan sleeves.

And on the bottom try a high-waisted skirt, they are great for big hips as they sit above them and hide everything.

As for boots, go for the round or square toe as pointed can make you look a bit unbalanced, especially if you’re quite curvy.
