Softening a square-shaped face

I have thick hair with a strong cowlick which is naturally curly when longer. I would like to wear my hair a little longer but as it as so thick it looks untidy and heavy and not very flattering if left to grow. My face is square shaped. Any suggestions for a new hair style to try?

It sounds as though some strategically placed layering and a hair straightener would be just what the doctor ordered! These marvellous inventions can be a godsend for women with curly or fly-away hair. They are also extremely effective in taming cowlicks as well. The best idea is to visit your hair stylist to discuss what you want and get some tips on the best way for you to use the hair straightener.
