Caring for your jeans

Any tips for caring for jeans? I’ve read somewhere that you don’t need to wash them after each use.

What you read was right. oost denim specialists advise leaving jeans well alone. Washing them too often will cause fading and wear and tear, so only wash them when really necessary. Denim is a hardwearing fabric that doesn’t get dirty or smelly easily.

If you can’t bear to do this, however, make sure that when you do wash them the machine is on a cool cycle and the jeans are turned inside out. The best way to keep dark indigo colours vivid is to wash in cold water with only a tiny bit of detergent and dry indoors, rather than outside where they can be faded by the sun. Iron jeans inside out to prevent shiny scorch marks.
