A depression sufferer has revealed the seemingly small wins that can mean big things for your mental health, in a series of images uploaded to Imgur.
The unnamed person, who goes by the username ‘toofuckingbusyandviceversa’ shared the success story to the image site, revealing:
“I suffer from severe depression and have a really hard time with cleaning and doing other kinds of household work. My room have been this messy for several months because I can’t push myself to take care of it. But this Friday I decided to finally do it!”
Alongside the explanation, the user shares an image of a small box room with litter all over the floor, belongings on the bed and general debris everywhere.

I know it’s not a big victory, but for me it means the world to just be able to have my door open if people come over. I feel so at peace right now, just wanted to share with all of you wonderful imgurians!

The inspiring post has been viewed more than 300,000 times, with many fellow Imgur users congratulating the author on celebrating small victories.
“As a person who suffers from major depression, this makes me happy. Don’t let it win,” wrote one user.
Another said: “Cleaning is the first to go when my depression flares and cleaning is one of the things that can feel good in the depths.”
“This is a HUGE victory for someone with depression. Be proud & keep it up.”
