Secret of an A-list body: Minnie Driver

How to get arms like Minnie Drivers.

British actress Minnie Driver has the kind of toned upper arms you’d usually see on an athlete. While she does exercise five days a week, often with a personal trainer, she credits yoga and surfing with giving her fantastic muscle tone.

What to try:

The lateral raise is an excellent way of working the muscles that give shape to the upper arms. You will need a pair of dumbbells or two bottles of water.

Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms down by your sides, holding a weight in each hand. Face your palms in towards your thighs and flex your knees.

Slowly raise your arms out to the side until your hands are as high as your shoulders and your arms are parallel to the floor. Hold that position for a couple of seconds before lowering. Repeat 12-15 times.
