Raspberry chia seed jam

Going sugar-free? No need to give up on jam thanks to this delicious recipe from clean-eating blogger Christina Leon

My homemade raspberry chia seed jam is so sweet and delicious. It’s a completely natural alternative with no refined sugars, which most store-bought jams contain.

You can add different berries, fresh or frozen, to create your favourite jam spread. The super nutritious chia seed is the star of this homemade treat.

The chia seeds absorb the water and swell up to give a jam like consistency. Not only is this wonderful on homemade hot cross buns but perfect served on toast, pancakes, or on homemade muesli with a dollop of natural yoghurt.

2 cups frozen raspberries

1/4 cup water

2 tbsp natural honey

3 tbsp white chia seeds (you can use black chia seeds also)

  1. Add your frozen raspberries, water and honey into a blender and process until smooth.

  2. Pour your mixture into a jar and stir in your chia seeds until completely mixed through.

  3. Pop on a lid and place in the fridge to set for up to 2-3 hours or overnight.

  4. Keep stored in the fridge for up to two weeks.
