Standing on bedroom pillows can help boost your balance and strengthen your abdominal muscles, says physiotherapist Peter Pope, from the Bupa Centre of Sports Medicine Excellence.
“Stacking a couple of pillows on the floor on top of each other creates an unstable base, like the wobble boards you see in the gym.”
He suggests a simple knee bend: stand on the pillows, and looking straight ahead while keeping your back straight, draw in your abdominal muscles. Try to touch your left knee with your right foot. Do this five times, before swapping legs.
